Ornithopter prices per server, not per member, ballot, or feature. All parts of Bivouac Wiki are enabled, including SSO, on all tiers. The main limitation is sharing machines on the lower tiers. We also offer support for self-hosting (pay what you like) starting at $50/y ($4.17/m).

Self Hosting Support

Our self hosting support plan starts at $5/month or $50/year (due to fee minimums), but is otherwise pay-what-you-want. That’s around $4.17/m.

Why Ornithopter?

Ornithopter manages software upgrades, migrations, backups and restores, firewalls, antivirus, and logging. We offer documentation for doing it yourself if you want to.

You’re also well connected with one of the developers of Bivouac, so your feedback helps improve the software for everyone.

What do I need?

How Many Servers Do I Need?

Bivouac is a program that runs an editor, which your users access on their browsers. The program has some “administrator” user(s). As long as multiple sub-groups are okay having the same admins, you’re probably okay using one server. If you need to experiment with new settings, you probably want a separate server.

Bivouac will listen on an editor domain (like YourGroup.ornithopter.me for the Starter plan). Bivouac can publish to as many domains as you like. Ornithopter offers complementary publishing hosting for a limited number of domains depending on your plan. If you have a full domain you want to use, the Team plan is good, if you don’t care the Starter plan (YourGroup.ornithopter.me) is probably fine.
